Wow, school is way harder than I remember.
Though that could be because I'm in grade 12 now. <.< >.>
Last week was a whirlwind of assignments and homework, with little to no time to myself. This weekend was spent primarily recovering from that week. I can see a pattern forming.
I was initially taking International Law, Writers Craft and English 12 - the first 2 days I had a lot of work just from those subjects. Then, somehow, Kat managed to convince me that it would be a good idea to take Canadian History too. So now I'm in 4 heavy classes. Wonderful.
However, somehow, despite all of that, I'm actually doing rather well. My first proper Law assignment about Roger, the man that got eaten by his friends, earned me a stunning 95%, while my Short Story about myself for Writers Craft got 90%. Not bad.
I've taken on probably too many other things though. For example, I volunteetered to be in a promotional uniforms video at school, to be on the Yearbook committee, to run Debate and Eco Club, and we are amist preparations for the Fast in Eco Club. All of a sudden, all of the rest of the Yearbook committee have dropped out, leaving me alone with a difficult teacher on this Yearbook. I'm also designing a cover for the promo book for my school. And, my Art teacher has offered to get me into this Comic Book local convention at the end of the month, which means I need to make a comic. All this, while maintaining my lucky good grades? Thank goodness most of this stuff will have died down by March. *phew*
Not much else happening. At the end of the week my parents are both going away, and my friend Maxi is probably coming to stay, since her mother is away as well. Just to make life interesting. It prolly wont have much of an effect on myself, I'm planning to spend the weekend on Webcam to Drew ^.^
New kid at school told me he wasnt a douchebag. Good sign.
I finished reading Dorian Gray. I loved it. So much. Seriously. I don't know how one can have an intense love/hate relationship with a character from a book, but I do. I seriously recommend reading it. I started James Joyce's "Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man." Very confusing. It will take a lot of work to read it, but I'm up for the challenge.
I don't really have much more to say, so I'm going to go take a shower and then make up some surveys. *sighs* No rest for the wicked, even when the homework is lax. This weekend I'm determined to play World of Warcraft.
Ciao.
